What is cvIfCountInChecksumErrors?
This per-interface counter tracks received VINES packets discarded for checksum mismatches on a specific link. An admin cares because, unlike the router-wide version, it pinpoints which physical link is likely experiencing signal noise or corruption. For example, checksum-error growth isolated to a single serial WAN interface would direct troubleshooting to that specific cable or circuit rather than the whole router.
