This read-only Gauge32 reports the number of seconds remaining until the router's next VINES routing update. An admin uses this to know how soon the router will next broadcast or process routing information, useful when timing a change to coincide with (or avoid) an update cycle. An admin planning a manual route change might wait until cvForwRouteUpdateCountdown resets to a full interval to ensure the change is picked up cleanly on the next update.
