Module: ACLMGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACLMGMT-MIB::swACLIpv6RuleProtocol

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.9.3.4.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

For some newer chips, this object can only set the type which has been configured in swACLIpv6Entry. The default value is none (1).

What is swACLIpv6RuleProtocol?

This OID specifies which IPv6 transport protocol (TCP, UDP, ICMPv6, etc.) the ACL rule will match. Network engineers set this to apply different rules to different protocols—for example, allowing TCP port 443 while blocking UDP port 53 to enforce DNS-over-HTTPS policies. Setting this to TCP (6) means only TCP flows are examined by this rule; UDP and other protocols pass through without being checked.
