prConStackRAPEnable

Module: A3COM0054-BRASICA2-SPECIFIC

OID (symbolic): A3COM0054-BRASICA2-SPECIFIC::prConStackRAPEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.34.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object controls the Roving Analysis Port (RAP) feature in conjunction with prConStackRAPStudyPort and prConStackRAPCopyPort. The RAP feature allows all frames sent and received on the study port to be copied to the copy port, where they can be observed. Setting this object to on(2) will enable monitoring. To succeed both prConStackRAPStudyPort and prConStackRAPCopyPort must have been set to the ifIndex values of suitable ports, and if either are invalid this operation will fail.

What is prConStackRAPEnable?

This INTEGER flag enables or disables the Roving Analysis Port (RAP) feature, which requires valid study and copy ports to be set first. Operators toggle RAP on to begin copying traffic between two ports for troubleshooting without interrupting live connections. Setting it to 'on' activates traffic mirroring; both study and copy ports must have valid ifIndex values or the operation fails.
