prConPortPaceMode
Module: A3COM0054-BRASICA2-SPECIFIC
OID (symbolic): A3COM0054-BRASICA2-SPECIFIC::prConPortPaceMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.34.2.1.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object specifies the type of backoff algorithm used on the port. A port can use the standard ethernet algorithm or, for PACE applications, it can be set to low latency mode. In this mode, the backoff algorithm is optimised to minimise the possibility of collisions.
PACE mode can be set for the whole stack or for individual ports. When a unit is initialised to factory defaults this object is set to useDefault(2) for every port, and the actual setting for the port is decided by the value of prConStackPaceMode. The manager has the choice, therefore, of varying the mode for every port in the stack, or for individual ports only.
What is prConPortPaceMode?
This INTEGER sets the collision-backoff algorithm for a specific port—either standard Ethernet or PACE low-latency for timing-sensitive applications. Operators configure per-port PACE mode to optimize latency for devices with strict timing requirements. Setting a port to low-latency mode optimizes its backoff behavior, reducing retransmit delays for real-time applications connected to that port.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.34.2.1.1.4 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> A3COM0054-BRASICA2-SPECIFIC::prConPortPaceMode
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.34.2.1.1.4.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> A3COM0054-BRASICA2-SPECIFIC::prConPortPaceMode.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.34.2.1.1.4.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> prConPortPaceMode.1
