Supported hypervisors

I need to run IPNetwork Monitor on Windows running within virtual machine (VM). What virtualization types are supported? Q: Can IPNetwork Monitor be installed and used on Windows running in virtualized environment? A: We have successfully tested our product on a variety of virtualization types. The following hypervisors (virtualization types) are known to run IPNetwork Monitor within Windows virtual machine:

KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine)
Xen, in both PV (paravirtual, modified guests) and HVM (hardware virtual machine) modes, including custom modifications such as Amazon EC2 virtualization platform
Oracle VM VirtualBox (formerly Sun VirtualBox, Sun xVM VirtualBox and innotek VirtualBox)
VMWare series, including VMWare Server, VMWare Workstation and VMWare Player

The rule of thumb is this: if your Windows VM works without errors (that means its video and network drivers are working as well), and resources allocated to it meet our minimal system requirements, IPNetwork Monitor should work smoothly on the system. If hypervisor in question is not on above list, and it is important to know whether our product is compatible with Windows VM in use, please contact us.
