Frequently Asked Questions

Check out our Knowledge Base where we answer questions regarding various topics.

What is rediscovery used for?

Rediscovery runs periodic discovery checks to find new resources that appear on the network after the original discovery was completed.

Are rediscovery settings different from the Discovery Wizard?

No. The Rediscovery page repeats the Discovery Wizard settings, so scheduled rediscovery can use the same options you would choose during manual discovery.

When should rediscovery be configured?

Configure rediscovery when network resources change over time and you want IPNetwork Monitor to detect newly added hosts or services automatically.
